Confidentiality and security

Selling a business is not like selling a car. If your staff, customers or competitors find out before you are ready, it can cost you the business. Confidentiality is the product, not a feature of it.

1

Your identity is separated at the database level

Your name, your company's registered name, the exact address and your contact details are stored in a separate, access-controlled table from the public listing. The public page cannot read them — not because a template hides them, but because the database refuses the query.

2

Nothing confidential is released without a signed NDA

A buyer must request access, be approved by you, and sign an NDA recorded against the listing. Access can carry an expiry date, and you can revoke it at any moment.

3

Every confidential access is logged

You can see which approved buyers opened which documents and when. Revocation takes effect immediately on the next request.

4

Documents are never public URLs

Confidential documents are served through short-lived signed links that are re-authorised on every request. Knowing a filename gets an attacker nothing.

5

We keep confidential data out of third-party analytics

Our product analytics record which stage of a funnel was reached, never who the counterparty is or what a business is called.
